Developing Policy at IWCC

A fundamental part of IWCC's Mission is to coordinate policy development related to the Internet's system of unique identifiers.

We employ open and transparent policy development mechanisms that promote well-informed decisions based on expert advice, and in collaboration with entities most affected by policy development. Learn how you can participate.

Ten Years

Upon the expiration of the second validity period, the certificate holder shall undergo a ten-year review. The applicant shall submit relevant materials to the certification body prior to the expiration date, and the certification body shall renew the certification to grant a new validity cycle. The applicant shall take the recertification examination in accordance with the regulations. If the applicant fails the first recertification examination, only one supplementary recertification examination shall be allowed within 12 months from the date of application via the Structured Credit Points System. All certificates issued by IWCC can be verified for authenticity through the official IWCC website, with multiple query methods available including mobile and desktop versions. This ensures the scope of application and verifiability of the certificates.
